* These placing anomalies were a result of one band being placed by only a few individual voters in the Overall poll, and then (by rule) having to maintain that position when voting for the Semi's poll. On the other side, another voter may have left off that particular group because they had already filled up their Top 10 for that particular region within their Top 15 in the Overall Poll, thus causing an offset number. This allowed for one group to still be in the Overall rank but not in their Semi-State (North or South) Top 10, essentially resulting in the band receiving a lower slot in their Semi-State poll with no votes, despite that group being in the Overall "Top 15" rank. Instances such as these were few.
