Hey I just got an idea. If the staff isn't officialy doing I'M awards, then why don't us users give our own awards to different groups. (Unless you solely believe so) please try not to vote your band. Just a thought.
2010: Retrospectivus trans decinia musicae petrosae (our perspective of rock music through the decades)

2012: The Firebird (10th@state First time State finalists)
2013: ??? (Drum Major)

By all means, go for it.

However, the process is quite tedious- you have too literally keep a tab on every single band in Indiana.  Not only that, you're going have to get a hold on some of the most marching-savvy people in Indiana, and well, they're usually very busy with their bands already.

You're free to post your thoughts, though.  I enjoy reading others.  :)

(You can pass it on to Matt too, but be warned- he's pretty busy with IPA right now.)
Carpe Diem, pro illic est unus  Good luck to every band!

Wow I didn't relize it was that much work, I was just wanting to see who people thought stood out a little more than the others, but I might try and post some of my thoughts, even though I really only got a chance to see D and C bands this year, so I will only talk D and C but if anyone wants to share their thoughts on B and A then feel free.

Here's a thought, you march in a class D band, I March in a Class C band. If you want we could split these up and you can focus on D, I'll do C and we can see if there is anyone who would like to do Classes A and B.

It's just a thought, I think that I have an idea as to how I could do this.  (8
