Now That BOA and ISSMA are over and done with, I myself (along with maybe a few others) are wondering if the IM staff will once again do spirit awards here in 2012. So my question is, can we expect anything in the very near future?

Twas the day of issma finals and all through the state, Kids and parents were ready for the date. Cass will honor the man from whom they were directed, And parks magnum opus is carefully perfected. Paoli's phoenix burns as bright as the sun, While Eastside's firebird is just there to have fun. While south spencer is getting their piano in tune, Southridge is playing a classical etude. Springs valley is going to sink the putt under, And mater dei will leave the crowd in awestruck wonder. Monrovia will find their city and power, And Adams Central will show their hope, strength, and honor. In the end their is only one winner, but non will have lost, Because we will all bring back memories from old LOS.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL CLASS D!!!

So I know it's getting close to classifications, but I was wondering if anyone knew when issma will release them to the public?

So im new to semi-state, being my first time and all, so how does the performance line-up get set up? Is it a draw like regionals or is it based on distance to travel?

It seems to me that a lot of bands have stopped using certain instruments and are replacing them with similar sounding instruments the three that ive noticed are piccalo, trombone, and bass clarinet. Now I dont know if its just me or has anyone else noticed it to or has anyone noticed other disapearing instruments? Please let me know.

What funny or strange phrases have you heard over the years from band mates, fans, your director, or staff? (Please don't give specfic names other than band mates, fans, ect.)
For example: yeah that's music, there you go. BETTER EVERDAY. You give me the freaky. You make the leprocan inside me wanna dance and find more gold. You don't have an inner leprocan?

I've got a good feeling that Eastside could go far this year but that's just me, so what do you think?
