ISSMA: Class D Discussion / 2012 Marching Season
« on: July 25, 2012, 11:19:38 PM »
Who are you most excited to see/hear?
I can't wait to see Perry Central, since we're rivals.
I'm also excited to see how our, Tell City, show turns out. I think it's going to be a great show this year. There is a lot more dedication this year than in the past 2 years.
Tell me who you're most exited to see!

ISSMA: Class D Discussion / Tell City

So, some of you who saw us, TC, at Reitz were probably like, "What are they doing?" But if you saw us at Paoli this weekend you would have seen that we have made a LOT of improvement from last week. Some of the bands think we are no competition to them, but we're getting better. You'll be surprised to know that we got 2nd place out of 5 bands this week. And last week we got 4th out of 4 bands. Don't just let 1 performance make you think you have it in the bag.
If you seen the show at Paoli, can you tell me what you thought?

our show this year is "Hide and Seek" it is a whole new era for the orleans program.

I saw your show this weekend, and it was very good. But at the beginning where the little kids voice comes on, it was kind of scary, I have to admit.

ISSMA: Class D Discussion / Whose show can you not wait to see?
« on: August 28, 2011, 11:28:09 PM »
Personally, I can't wait to get our show finished. I'm from Tell City & we finally brought rifles back :D
But I also can't wait to see:
Southridge, Mater Dei, Perry Central, & Orleans.
Stay on topic please. :)

I know hardly none of you will care about this, but tomorrow's my 16th birthday!
I'm so excited. I just HAD to talk about it to someone & I don't care if you guys complain. (:
So, I'm going out to Patoka on a pontoon boat with a slide. Sound fun?
What did you do for YOUR 16th birthday?

Wowww. I posted this a long time ago. But thank you Mr. Akers. I agree 100% with what you say. We've had to do a practice without a drum major before and we fell apart. I don't know how mater dei does it, but they do. I just think the guy that doesn't think the same is just mad because mater dei did better than them. But in any case, it doesn't matter. It's about time for the new season to start and I can't wait to see what all the bands have in store for this year!

Southridge getting 9th for class D.
Personally, I think they deserved a better score.

ISSMA: Class D Discussion / Mater Dei

I'm extremely thrilled that Mater Dei got fourth at state!
They have the same number of members as us, Tell City, and they still made it to state. People are always complaining about how smaller bands don't go to state, blah blah blah, but they proved them wrong.
I also enjoyed their show this year. It always wanted me to get up and dance. The first time I saw their show I was soooo jealous. Their colorguard was amazing, and so was the music. But I mostly watch the colorguard because I'm in colorguard. So, congratulations on placing 4th at state!
And congratulations to all the other bands too. Everyone did great this year!

ISSMA: Class D Discussion / Re: The tale of four gold rated bands.
« on: October 19, 2010, 04:52:41 PM »
I just think every band that went on deserved to go on. I've been through not going on, and you know what's worse then not advancing to semi-state? Not advancing to state once you've already took the next step. It really sucks. I'm sure almost all of us have been in these 4 bands places. I'm from Tell City, and not to sound conceited, but I think we deserved to go on. Just as much as Clay City. We worked our butts off just like the rest of the other bands. If the 4 northern bands would have been at the southern regional maybe they would have got a silver, or if we would have gone to the northern regional we would have got a gold. You never know.

I know exactly how you feel. We lost our colorguard choreographer last year right after band camp. It was a devastating time. So I feel for you and the rest of the band. I'm sorry that you had to go through it.
