College: Ball State University - B.S. Information Systems, Operations Management.
Occupation: Building Technology Coordinator, Zionsville Middle School, Zionsville, IN

Matt Bonfield, 28, is the founder and current webmaster of IndianaMarching.com. He originally envisioned IM.com and its purpose in late 1998 during his senior year at Chesterton HS. The site officially became a reality when it was launched on September 1st, 1999. Since then, IM.com has grown to serve over 40,000 users and 240 band programs across the State of Indiana. It was arguably the first of its kind to provide full coverage of any state, and still thrives as the leader in marching band coverage for any state to this day.

While attending Chesterton, Matt marched trumpet for four years, and also performed in the jazz band, concert band, and pep band ensembles. He has been actively involved in the marching activity for over 15 years. After graduating in 1999, he took a couple of years off from school to work full-time at an Internet Service Provider and to work various IT jobs. He then decided to pursue his degree at Ball State University, graduating with a B.S. from the Miller College of Business in Information Systems, with a primary focus in Networking and Security. Matt also marched an additional five years on trumpet while attending Ball State, and has assisted with various high school programs across the state.

Matt recently became married to Megan Bonfield (formerly Kuhnhenn), who has also been on the IM.com Staff for 7 years. He is also currently employed with Zionsville Community Schools and works as a Building Technology Coordinator, primarily at Zionsville Middle School.
