Purpose
The IndianaMarching.com Discussion Forums area exists to serve
as a forum for rational and intellectual discussion regarding
the Indiana Marching Band Activity and other related mediums.
Conduct
You agree, through your use of the IM.com Community and
Discussion Forums, that you will not post any material which is
false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful,
harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening,
invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY
law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless
the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner
of the copyrighted material. This also includes discussion in
regards to selling, purchasing, trading, or any other method of
obtaining such copyrighted materials illegally including, but
not limited to: MP3's, CD's, Videos, DVD's, Bootleg Audio
Recordings, etc. Additionally, any spam, flooding,
advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or solicitations
are also inappropriate to the IM.com Community. Trolling is also
strictly prohibited. An internet "troll" is a person who posts
outrageous and generally negative messages as bait with the sole
purpose of luring people into responding. Trolls are known for
creating discord on internet forums, and inspiring flaming
rhetoric and provoking conversation. Registering multiple
accounts is also prohibited within the IM.com Community.
Please remember that while we do attempt to monitor the posted
messages as closely as possible through the efforts of our
staff, it is impossible to monitor content on an
up-to-the-minute basis with such a large community. We do not
warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any
information presented, and we will attempt to filter any
information deemed to be posted deliberately to mislead any
group or individual. Additionally, the messages express the
views of the author, not necessarily the views of the IM.com
Staff or Moderators. Anyone who feels that a posted message is
objectionable is encouraged to notify a moderator of this forum
immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content
if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual
process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to
remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes
for member profile information as well.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages
at all times, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this
forum, and any related websites to this forum. We at the IM.com
Discussion Forums also reserve the right to reveal your identity
(or any information we have about you) in the event of a
complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by
you.
Registration
You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username.
We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With your user
account, you agree to never give your password out to another
member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also
agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or
browse this forum, and to edit your profile after registration
is completed and specify your FULL NAME and other required
fields. Failure to do so may result in immediate termination of
your account. Any information we deem inaccurate or vulgar
within these detailed fields will also be promptly removed.
Communication
You acknowledge that IndianaMarching.com may send periodic
e-mails to all of our users notifying them of current or
important upcoming events or site updates, advertisement
messages generated from our sponsors or those who advertise with
them, as well as merchandise specials being run within the
IndianaMarching.com website and/or IME Network. Content is not
limited to the above mentioned. Additionally, we will NEVER sell
your e-mail address or personal information to ANY third party
company or companies outside of our sponsorship scope. Your
security is always our number one priority.
Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded in
the event that you need to be banned from the IM.com Community
or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a
major and severe violation of this agreement.
Privilege
Before participating, it is important to keep in mind that the
use of the IndianaMarching.com Community is a privilege, not a
right. As a privately owned entity, the moderation team at
IndianaMarching.com reserves the right to revoke that privilege
at his or her discretion from any individual at any time without
notice. Please remember that we can not have a rule for
everything, and because of unique situations or a few people who
may abuse our forums or cause other problems (even if it is such
a situation not listed in the rules), the IndianaMarching.com
moderation team reserves the right to react to these issues in
any way necessary to remedy the issue and to minimize any
negative impact within our Community.
Conclusion
The bottom line is this: the IndianaMarching.com Community
exists to provide a fun, friendly, and intelligent atmosphere
for all ages. With a little maturity and respect for others and
their organizations and/or affiliations, this Community will be
an enjoyable environment for everyone. Happy posting! |
