Firstly, thank you for your interest in contributing to IndianaMarching.com!

Secondly, here is a little background information about our financials and how important donations are in helping to keep IM.com afloat.

Our yearly, base expenses top off around $4,500.00 for our dedicated servers and licensing alone. The hardware we use is an absolute requirement in order to accommodate the amount of bandwidth (data transfer) and Community traffic we receive in a years time. Without dedicated hardware, hosting this monster with no downtime would simply be impossible. With over 50,000 registered members, 2 million downloads from our Video Vault, Live Streaming for hundreds of simultaneous connections, and at times over 1,000 users browsing the site simultaneously, our popularity can sometimes be our biggest nemesis.

To add to that, the expenses above do not include those our staff incurs or utilizes during the fall. For example: gas for travel (which we all know is outrageous), camera equipment, lenses, tapes, notebooks, ticket expenses, staff shirts, internet expenses for live updating and streaming, etc. The list goes on and on, and every bit is out-of-pocket.

Lastly, since 1999, those of us that continue to work on bringing this wonderful site to you year after year do this as volunteers. With your help and generous donations, we can continue to lessen the burden of expenses placed upon our shoulders due to the cost of everything listed above. Fortunately, we have a great list of incentives for donating to IM.com, as well as the various upgrades to your Community Profile. And remember, any donation is accepted, and there is absolutely no minimum required.
